LUCKNOW: It has been confirmed that German expertise in MSME would be made available to burgeoning entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh. The MSME chamber of the Indian Industries Association (IIA) in collaboration with the German ministry of economic co-operation and development will soon organise a series of entrepreneur development programmes (EDPs) all over the state. The partnership programme is being implemented jointly by ZDH (German Confederation of Skilled Craft) and SEQUA – a non-profit subidiary of Germany’s top business associations. Currently, the state has a huge MSME base which is estimated at 1.2 million both in the organised and unorganised sectors. Mr. Anil Gupta, President of AAI, said,“We would organise 10-12 EDPs starting from September.” It is expected that in the later stages, this partnership programme would explore formation of an Indo-German SME network for mutual business gain. Germany has joined hands with various Indian MSME chambers for improving services of the partner organisations in India, strengthen management and expand networking. Moreover, Germany has a large MSME base, accounting for 90% of its industry. Besides, it is compulsory for the German MSME units to be members of an industry association. |
