Almost all of have encountered an accident for at least one time in our lives. For at least one time, we could have got a close shave and a miracle saved us. And we may not be twice lucky as well. Therefore, it’s a must for all of us to get Personal Accident Insurance.

Some people think that because they drive carefully, they won’t ever meet with an accident. But there can be accidents other way as well. It’s not necessary that because one is careful, an accident won’t happen. What if you have boarded a bus and it falls in a deep gorge?

The sole purpose of accident insurance is to ensure that you get treatment in time and all the expenses are borne by the insurance company. Some people think that because they have life insurance or health insurance, personal accidental insurance is not necessary. But, the fact is that, you need an accidental insurance first and a health or life insurance later on.

The life after accident may be difficult to deal with, but at least you would be relieved from the burden of unexpected expenses. If you have an accident insurance then the insurance company would pay for your treatment. Hence, you can save money for other expenses arising post accident. There are many expenses which may not be directly related to the accident but if an accident leaves a person disabled, then his family, dependent children, dependent parents, spouse, might have to look for other options to earn and run the family expenses. Ideally, there are three major benefits where the companies provide lump sum amount in case of Accidental Death (AD), Permanent Partial Disability (PPD) and Permanent Total Disability (PTD).

In case of fatal accidents, the insurance companies also provide for the transportation of the mortals, and offer educational fund for the children of the deceased.

Many insurance companies come up with such accident insurance plans where the additional hospital expenses, cost of ICU, blood, prosthetics and modifications in vehicle and residence is also provided. It depends on which plan you have opted for.
