(1888PressRelease) ULTICHOICE, the leading multichannel digital television operator across the African continent, has selected ENENSYS equipment for the deployment of the world's largest DVB-T2 network over Pan-African countries.

After the decision of SADC (Southern African Development Community) to select DVB-T2 as the terrestrial transmission standard for the region, MULTICHOICE is rolling-out a full Pan-African DVB-T2 network with a total bouquet of more than 50 different channels in various languages over 15 countries.

In addition to become the world's largest DVB-T2 network, the MULTICHOICE project is also the most innovative featuring Multiple Physical Layer Pipes, SFN and regional content delivery. The use of Multi-PLP architecture and PLP Substitution TM brings unmatched flexibility to the Network Operator and allowing a drastic reduction of the operational costs.
In this project, ENENSYS provides the DVB-T2 key elements, including DVB-T2 Gateway, Local DVB-T2 Adapter - T2EdgeTM - and DVB-T2 modulators.

"We are very proud to have been selected by MULTICHOICE in this challenging DVB-T2 project", says Regis LE ROUX, CEO at ENENSYS. With this world's largest DVB-T2 roll-out, ENENSYS clearly strengthens its leading position in the DVB-T2 market and demonstrates the potential of innovation the company is able to provide to big players. "Through our System Integrator, AUCOM, we are supporting MULTICHOICE to ensure a successful project" adds Emmanuel JACQUES, Sales Manager at ENENSYS.

By taking full benefits of this innovative technology and introducing the regionalization over the African continent, MULTICHOICE continues to be a pioneer in the Digital TV world and reinforces its leading position by deploying the largest and the most innovative DVB-T2 project over the world.

"ENENSYS is a great innovative partner" said Mr Collins KHUMALO - President of MultiChoice Africa. "As far as DVB-T2 technology is concerned, they are able to provide a solution to our complex roll out in Sub-Sahara Africa. As Africa's leading pay television provider we are dedicated to ensuring that our operation meets the viewing needs of our subscribers as well as ensuring that we work with Governments to provide the best solution to Africa's digital migration"
