MSME minister calls to promote young entrepreneurs

Union minister of state for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), Dinsha J Patel said that there is need to develop entrepreneurship among the youth of the nation to fight the issue of unemployment. 

He said, "There is a need to develop first generation entrepreneurs particularly in rural and backward areas to reduce the regional imbalances and promote entrepreneurship among unemployed."

The minister stated this after inaugurating the three national training programmes at the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) in Chennai today.

"The centre has been laying emphasis on self-employment and many schemes have been initiated for both rural and urban youth, including Rajiv Udyami Mitra, Prime Ministers' Employment Generation Mission and assistance to training institutions under the Ministry of MSME." he added.
