Acer to raise market share, targets SMEs

NEW DELHI: Acer, a computer manufacturer, is all set to increase its market share in the server business in India and also plans to double its market share by the end of this year. To achieve this target, Acer is considering to introduce a wide range of 17 new models under four different server categories, shortly. These will mainly target the small and medium enterprises(SMEs), government, public sector, education, telecom and other corporate sectors.

Mr S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer, said, “Acer with its 100 per cent indirect model will support the new line of business, this new venture will only enhance and boost the capacity of our channel partners to prove end to end solution to our customers.”

The company is also hopeful that its India revenues to grow 25% to touch Rs 2,500 crore during 2010.
