As my experiences when I have time come to Mount Bromo, i have lot of activities which it can be my sickness of joy. The first is about enjoying great morning scenery on top Penanjakan, say hello to the sun rise then get the warm touch from the morning sun. Won't be late for another Mount Bromo sickness, then I go to the sea of sand. Get glorious moment there and memorizes it on my camera. Having a horse riding or mount cycling, what the best experiences there. After that I want to kill my curious, being on the top of Mount Bromo. Yup I take a walk upward to the top of Bromo through the stairs, dont forget to count all those concrete stairs.

You can find also a Hindu temple "Pura Luhur Poten" on the sea of sand, this temple it self as a point for annual Yadnya Kasada ceremony which lasts for about one month. The Yadnya Kasada ceremony it self is a tradition of throwing sacrifices into the volcano to get more luck, and this ceremony located at a temple right in the dip of mount Bromo, as they continue to the peak. The ceremony took place in the middle of the night, exactly when the full moon is at peak, on the month of Kasodo according to Javanese calendar. Unfortunately it was not my lucky day, just because i miss this Yadnya Kasada ceremony.
More attractions around Bromo Tengger Caldera you can enjoy, as my experiences there. I have found new excitement by visiting spring water at Widodaren cave. As the information i got, the water coming out from this spring is considered as sacred water and it is used during the execution of Yadnya Kasada. This is a religious ceremony which is carried out every year based on Tengger Tribe Calendar.
